The biggest error you could make when shopping for a Limo is searching based on price. In the Limousine Industry, there are many variances of quality and price. All to often, a cheaper price translates into a larger risk for you, the Limousine renter.

If you shop for a Limousine based on price alone, you will likely be frustrated and disappointed with your Limousine experience.

Old, dirty, poorly maintained vehicles, shoddy service, unprofessional chauffeurs with poor hygiene, dangerous vehicles, over loading passengers, late service, and under-insured services are all possible results of a “Best Price” shopping priority. 

The rule usually is – the lower the price, the more risk you will assume with your luxury transportation needs.

Don’t be afraid to ask about Insurance and Permits......

All Limousines are required to carry commercial insurance and proper permits. Unfortunately, advertising services (be it newspaper/internet/website etc do not require insurance coverage or permits in order to advertise in their publications).

Don’t be afraid to protect yourself and your family from these “gypsy companies”  and ask for proof of these items from your selected Limousine Company.

Limousine companies must have the correct registration plates on their Limousines to complete events otherwise they are not legal, accredited or insured to complete customer transfers.

Regular registration (as you have on private vehicles) are only permitted to complete transfers for Weddings / Formals and Funerals, provided they are accredited by the Ministry of Transport. Any other transfer that is done, is illegal and not covered by insurance.

HC or TV plates are permitted to transfer customers to Weddings, Formals, Funerals, Restaurants, Football stadiums, Airports, Race Courses, Concerts, Hen's or Buck's nights, Dinner dates etc.....



Choosing your limousine for your event.....

You are making a large investment, why book a Limo over the phone on what you are told or have seen on the company's web site.

Manhattan Limos highly recommends you view the Limo you will be hiring before you commit to a deposit.

Look at the quality of the Limo and most importantly, compare the differences between Limos, for example, the amount of passengers the Limo is complied to carry (check how many seat belts there are in the rear) this will determine how many passengers legally the Limo can carry.

Check the condition inside and out, the length - in Australia there are Limo companies advertising Super Stretch Limo but in actual fact all they are is a stretch Limo - legally permitted to carry 8 rear passengers.

To give you an example, an 8 rear seater Chrysler 300c Limousine is often advertised as a Super Stretch Limo, when in actual fact  the 11 rear seater Chrysler 300c Super Stretch Limo by Manhattan Limos is a real Super Stretch 300C Limo. The Manhattan 300C Super Stretch Limos are made in the USA and are up to 1 metre longer to cater for the extra rear passengers. The same applies to the H2 Hummer Super Stretch Limo, the majority of these Hummer Limos in Sydney are licensed to transport up to 14 rear passengers. Our H2 Hummer Limousine is up to 2 metres longer and transports up to 16 rear passengers comfortably and more importantly legally.
